There was no business connectivity (ie. Exchange support) until a year later. The “keyboard” was also refined due to customer complaints. While I agree with the Japanese saying of “The largest grain of rice will bow the lowest” vis a vis Balmer’s comments, his assessment was accurate at the time. A company’s greatness is not on doing something well, it is on how well it changes to meet the market needs. Apple has done that with two significant upgrades to the iPhone, while Microsoft has only released a small upgrade in the same amount of time.
